Cozy up for fall!

I live in New England so winter gets really boring for my wardrobe because I style EVERYTHING around my shoes. It's not as fun when I'm wearing boots all the time though. Do you have any shoe alternatives or links to fun/interesting boots/booties I could get to diversify? I'm not afraid of a good heel :) thank you!

I hear you! I’m from Pittsburgh and I kill myself in the middle of winter trying to wear flats when I get bored but it’s just too snowy and too cold to do that! I’m going to send you some links for some great boot options with some descriptions about what I like to them. Hopefully, I’ll expand your boot collection with some new interesting styles! Unfortunately, nice boots are comparatively expensive but a good, sturdy boot is worth it and will last you a long time!

American Eagle Outfitters

  • AE has really ramped up their shoe styles! They have their own line and others that they sell, which are all great options with quality ensured. I happen to keep going back to stare at their AEO Studded Moto Boot or Seychelles Scoundrel Bootie.

Clarks

  • You can find some great styles amidst some no-frills, practical solutions geared towards an older crowd like their Mission Zelle or Lida Sayer.
Payless
  • My old faithful! Payless always has great prices and I don’t get upset when the salt start to destroy my shoes after a loooong wintery season!

UGG

  • What I love about UGGs (no, not their… well, you know what I mean with the oh-so popular ones you see girls sloshing around on campuses) is their real boots like their Elisabeta or Jardin

Hi I was wondering how you'd style yellow lita spikes? I totally love them but I have a formalish event coming up, a casual look, a punk look for a photo shoot and a really girly look. Do you think you could help me pick outfits for each thing to go with those heels? Thanks, love your style xo

Thanks so much! I hope these looks work for you. Sorry that this has taken me so long to get to you but I hope these help you out! If not, be sure to send another ask to let me know and I’ll try my best to find something better! :) My inspiration for these is to find something a little simpler and a little more feminine to balance out the spikes! They’re a great shoe and I like to have one piece a focal point in an outfit.

Oh, and by the way, love lita spikes and that they’re yellow!

FORMAL:

Luxology Dress - $69, shipping $9.95

Twisted Spike Cuff - $5.80, shipping $5.95

The dress is a nice tailored cut with a chain belt to tie in the edgy shoes. The bracelet mixes metals, tying in both metal colors assuming that the shoes have silver spikes.

AE Shine Knit Hi-Lo Sweater - $49.95, shipping $7

Jegging Ankle (Worn Dark) - $39.99, shipping $7

To me, there’s nothing more effortlessly casual than a nice neutral sweater and a pair of jeans. The rips are a fun detail to pair with the edgy spikes! Overall, this is a neutral but comfortably casual outfit that lets your yellow lita spikes steal the show!

PUNK:

Street-Chic Flannel Shirt - $17.80, shipping $5.95 (Shirt option 1 with possibility of jacket option 1)

image

Throwback Ramones Muscle Tee - $15.80, shipping $5.95 (option 2 + jackets option 1 or 2)

image

Patch Denim Shirt - $29.80, shipping $6.95 (option 1 for jacket)

image

Campfire Plaid Shirt - $22.80, shipping $5.95 (option 2 for jacket)

image

Jegging (Light Clouded) - $44.99, shipping $7

I went a little more stereotypical grungy for the punk look. Is this the punk you were looking for or goth punk? The jacket style can go either way! You can have fun with scrunching the sleeves up or tying it around the hips.

GIRLY:

Floral Mesh Top - $22.80, shipping 5.95

Hi-Rise Jegging (Grey Tumble) - $44.99, shipping $7 (bottom option 1)

image

Tiered High-Low Skirt - $17.80, shipping $5.95 (bottom option 2)

image

Rhinestone Round Studs - $3.80, shipping $5.95

I love to pair the yellow lita spikes with a soft peach and floral designs! The shirt can be tucked into the high-waisted jeggings or let out. The tiered skirt is great for high-lighting the fabulous shoes! The studs add just a little bit of a girly touch. :) To make it just a little more girlier, tie your hair back with a bow.
